At the meeting, H.E. U Moe Zaw Oo, the Deputy Minister, explained and discussed the current situation of Myanmar, crimes against humanity committed by Myanmar military junta, targeted procedures and the political road map of the NUG, support and protection for the government officials who participate in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) and their families in European countries, aids for Internally Displaced People (IDPs), multilateral meetings with ASEAN leaders and bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Germany.
The spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Germany stated that the European Union (EU) welcomes CRPH and the NUG for putting efforts into restoring democracy, the human rights and basic privileges for the people of Myanmar. Germany Government will continue providing the humanitarian aids to the citizens of Myanmar. The spokesperson mentioned that Germany does not recognize Myanmar military council but support and encourage the NUG. Moreover, Germany will discuss the situation of Myanmar with ministers during G7 Foreign and Development Ministers’ Meeting which will be held on May 3, 2021.
At the meeting, H.E. U Moe Zaw Oo, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the NUG, and the spokesperson of the Foreign Ministry of Germany exchanged their friendly and honest opinions on Myanmar affairs with each other. The meeting ended at 5:00 pm.
