
Saw Ba Hla Thein

Saw Ba Hla Thein was born in 1969 in Insein Township, Yangon. He is one of the revolution generations. He participated in helping the prisoners who released from Insein prison in 1988. He moved to Japan in 1992 and he was a member of Karen Nataional League ( Japan), a member of Karen Information Center (KIC), a member of Japan- NUA, a member of Refugee Coordination Committee Japan ( RCCJ) and a founder of NPO- Peace. He is one of the members in Karen National Congress for Democracy (KNCD). KNCD is one of the members of United Nationalities of Alliance (UNA). He has been living in Japan since 1992. He was awarded Mohan award in 2020 while working together with the Japanese Government and resettlement program (started in 2004).
The National Unity Government of Myanmar has appointed him as the Representative of National Unity Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to Japan.
