“Statement on the Chair’s Statement of the 48th ASEAN Summit and the Implementation of the Five-Point Consensus”
Any election organized by the military junta amid conflict, without inclusive political environment, lacks democratic legitimacy.
The NUG calls on ASEAN to establish concrete, time-bound mechanisms to end airstrikes and violence against civilians, ensure accountability, and support inclusive political dialogue involving the NUG and Ethnic Revolutionary Organizations (EROs) toward federal democratic Myanmar.
